The Little Haven Wedding Photography

See some kind words from Ally and Emily.

“After all the planning, organizing and nerves the day had finally come. The weather hadn’t been on our side on the run up to the day, but on Saturday 14th Aug the sun finally shone. We had Phil Smith as our photographer, attending previous weddings and seeing photographers who in my opinion were a little ‘pushy’ and over the top, I had my reservations, but this could not be further from the truth regarding Phil. From the initial meetings discussing different ideas of what we each wanted right through to looking at the pictures afterwards, Phil was the perfect photographer for our wedding. We found him adaptive to our ideas and are extremely pleased with the final outcome.

The morning of the wedding he was able to go between both houses and take discreet pictures of both bride (who was feeling especially nervous and Phil did a great job of assuring and making her feel at ease.) and groom/best man getting ready, joining in with jokes and generally being very easy going. The day passed with no hitches and the final pictures exceeded both of our expectations, we both are delighted with the DVD and the wedding albums (family members asked to have copies). We have recommended Phil to numerous people for their weddings and can’t rate him highly enough. Phil’s photographs of our wedding convey the joys and emotions of the day perfectly, and some of our favorites were taken without the need to pose.  We now have a fantastic reminder of fantastic day which we will not forget in a very long time.”

Lumley Castle Steven and Karley

Lumley Castle was a great setting for this lovely, late afternoon, November wedding. The period features of the castle worked really well as a dramatic backdrop. A very intimate wedding, only a few friends and family, created a really touching atmosphere and service. Congratulations Steven and Karley.

A few nice words from Karley and Steven, thanks guys

“Me and my husband Steven got married on the 18th November 2011 at Lumley Castle. We chose this setting due to the stunning scenery and features of the castle. When deciding upon a wedding photographer, we researched many that were available. We very quickly agreed and decided on Phil Smith. His website and gallery demonstrated exactly what we were looking for. We contacted Phil and we were immediately put at ease by his easy nature and helpful manner. He listened to our requests and offered suggestions only a professional photographer could.

Before the actual wedding, Phil did two things that further assured us we had made the right decision in booking him. He emailed asking for the actual running order of the day (times etc) and which shots we would like (family, group etc) more importantly he actually met us at Lumley castle leading up to the wedding. He wanted to familiarise himself with the venue and go through everything step by step. Therefore ensuring everything went perfectly, which it did! On the actual day, Phil made both Steven and I extremely comfortable and at ease. He was often taking shots we did not realise and they turned out amazing.

Phil is so professional and a lovely, genuine, passionate person. He captured everything we asked for and more. Our actual wedding album is stunningly beautiful and he also gave us a DVD of the photographs and in the background the song I walked down the aisle to was playing. It actually moved me to tears when I watched it. It’s easy to see why we have already recommended him to three friends!

We would 100% recommend Phil Smith as your wedding photographer. He has a unique way of capturing your special day and making you look and feel like a million dollars.”

Nigel and Babs’ Day

Great atmosphere in the house on the morning at Babs’ house, friends and family all mucking in and relishing every moment of the day.

St Trinity Church in Gosforth was awash in grandeur with some fantastic features, creating a fantastic backdrop for the ceremony. The service itself was very personal with the priest making references to the first dentist mentioned in the bible – in joke there for Babs and Nigel!

The reception was held at the magnificent Jesmond Dene House. With its splendid architecture and gardens, it was a pleasure to photograph.

Louise And Ross’ Wedding

It was a pleasure to photograph Louise and Ross’ beautiful wedding. The ceremony took place in Louise’s parent’s local village picturesque church, just round the corner from where they live.

As well as being touching and intimate, something you will see from the photographs is that ceremony was filled with laughter reflecting the couple’s great sense of humour; everyone enjoyed themselves immensely.

The grounds of the Judges Hotel, Yarm lent itself perfectly to some fabulous outdoor photographs: A wonderful day, all in all and congratulations Louise and Ross.
